This architectural dining set embodies the fusion of sculptural form and industrial strength.
The chairs have a chromed metal frame, black saddle leather seats and backs. The seats are spring- stretched.
Sigma created this type of chair in two versions; one with stretchers on seat and back and a bigger frame and this version with only stretchers below the seat and a 4 cm wide frame work.
The table features a smokey brown glass top and is extendable at one side.
Chairs and table are in good condition. The leather is nicely patinated but firm, the table top has no chips and only a very few, minor light scratches.
Sigma Furniture was founded in 1963 by Rufin Dedoncker. They were introduced on the American market in the early eighties. They had an in-house design team and collaborated with Belgian designers Frank De Clercq and Fons Siaens.
