Designed by Joe Colombo (Italy, 1930 -1971) for Zanotta, Italy in 1970-71. The Birillo received the Monza Gold Medal in 1972. The unique shape of the base conceals wheels within its hemispherical protrusions, allowing for easy 360° movement of the seat. The wheels return automatically to their housing. 
Materials: 18/8 stainless steel, fiberglass, polyurethane, black leather.
